Supporting the
WEF Gaza Hub Global Shapers
When education is protected, rebuilding is possible
Blue Rose Compass BRC is a US registered 501(c)(3) public charity supporting the World Economic Forum Gaza Hub Global Shapers, exceptional young leaders from Gaza, and their siblings, in securing postsecondary education and employment pathways abroad.
We invite donors, universities, employers, and corporate partners to support this initiative. Donor support enables full scholarships, housing, stipends, healthcare, and long term academic and career support. University partners provide academic pathways, institutional protection, and environments where students can recover and thrive. Employers play a critical role by offering internships, part time roles during study, and full-time employment after graduation.
This invitation is directed primarily to universities in Ireland, the Netherlands, the UK, and France, where evacuations are currently underway, and also to universities in other countries as humanitarian access expands and the Rafah Crossing is anticipated to reopen. We warmly welcome institutions globally that wish to offer scholarships or employment pathways.
The World Economic Forum Gaza Hub Global Shapers were selected through a rigorous WEF process and represent an extraordinary group of young adults with proven leadership, professional experience, and academic excellence. Their lives were abruptly derailed by conflict. This initiative helps them regain stability, dignity, and control over their futures, while preparing them to contribute meaningfully to the countries, universities, and workplaces that host them.
How You Can Support
-
We welcome foundations, corporations, and individuals to invest in long term, dignity centered solutions for displaced scholars. Support may include funding for scholarships and essential wraparound costs such as tuition, housing, stipends, travel, and healthcare, as well as in kind contributions including laptops, phones, and basic household essentials. Students are not permitted to leave Gaza with personal devices, making this support critical.
Please see our Deloitte Case Study demonstrating the long-term socioeconomic impact of investing in displaced students.
-
We are primarily seeking Master’s-level opportunities, with a smaller number of undergraduate and PhD placements.
Global Call: Countries currently conducting evacuations include Ireland, the Netherlands, the UK, and France. As the Rafah Crossing appears likely to open in the near future, we are actively engaging universities worldwide that are willing to offer scholarships. We are also supporting Gazans currently in Egypt and other countries who are able to travel now and are seeking immediate education and employment pathways.
-
Students are legally permitted to work part-time during their studies and full-time after graduation. We are seeking employers to offer:
Internships
Part-time roles during study
Full-time employment post-graduation, and for fellows outside of Gaza choosing to enter the workforce directly rather than pursue further education
